The Chestnut Hill neighborhood or village is not an incorporated municipality and actually lies within the borders of three different municipalities: Boston, Newton and Brookline.  Therefore, students attend the school district of the town in which they live.

Chestnut Hill is located six miles west of Boston and is only minutes from downtown. It is roughly defined as the 02467 zip-code. 

It is adjacent to the Chestnut Hill Reservoir and Hammond Pond Reservation.  Chestnut Hill is known for its upscale eateries as well as its two shopping malls and convenience of Route 9. Parts of Chestnut Hill are designated as historic districts by the National Register of Historic Places.
